Mr. Cullen has also worked in corporate finance and investment banking for a number of financial institutions. His experience includes managing, operating and refinancing distressed corporations through crisis situations, litigation, financial restructuring, and refinancing in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.
Mr. Cullen has represented numerous retail operations as a financial and investment advisor and has led the investment banking process in formal Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and out-of-court workouts, and has served as financial and restructuring advisor to a number of publicly and privately held financial and banking institutions that were under Federal bank regulatory enforcement actions.
Recent assignments include:
- Chief Restructuring Officer and investment banker to a national shoe retailer in a Chapter 11 case in the District of Missouri. The company was ultimately sold to a California public company and continues to operate throughout the U.S;

Chief restructuring advisor and investment banker to a national clothing retailer in a Chapter 11 case in the District of Illinois. The company was sold through the 363 sale process and continues to operate in locations throughout the nation;

Financial and investment advisor to a national retail jewelry store out-of-court workout;

Chief restructuring advisor to a national furniture retailer in the state of North Carolina; and,

Chief restructuring and financial advisor to a publicly held Midwest bank under a Cease and Desist regulatory enforcement action.
A native of Ireland, Mr. Cullen graduated in Finance with Honors from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Cullen is member of the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and has served on the board of several companies on behalf of financial institutions.
